Who Can Use More Influence?
Chronic problems that persist despite numerous efforts to eradicate them are almost always rooted in human behavior. Here’s why. In a world filled with a never-ending stream of new advances in technology and improvements in leadership methods, problems that can be solved with an invention, a well-delivered speech, or an influx of capital and equipment have already been solved. If articulating an argument or writing a check will eliminate a nagging challenge, you can bet that challenge has already been put to bed. However, if the problem you’re facing requires a change in what people have been doing (often for years), that’s a very different matter. Behavioral-based challenges typically won’t go away with a single-pronged intervention. That’s because human behavior doesn’t change easily. It can be relatively simple to erect a building, invent a new process, or create a new policy, but to get people to change their old habits, well, now you’re facing a real challenge.

Human Resource professionals who intuitively understand the true value and promise of performance measurement often become disillusioned by the administrative effort, lack of support throughout the organization, and “checklist” mentality that persists. Progressive companies recognize the fact that a performance appraisal process is only a natural extension of their employee development efforts and actively promote a performance development culture. In this webinar, we will help participants evaluate their organization’s “readiness” and provide clear steps on how to implement a performance development culture that: 1) aligns to the business strategy, 2) promotes continuous feedback, 3) holds people accountable for growth and 4) utilizes technology that supports a development-focused process.

Research shows that structured, behavioral interviewing that measures candidates’ competencies and job fit motivation are the most accurate at predicting future job success. Maximize new employee success: Move beyond onboarding to Integration
Hit The Ground Running’s Strategic HR Series presents a targeted information and case study session with VeriSign on strategic new employee integration. Why? The stats are alarming... · 25% of all new hires won't make it through their first year (Employment Policy Foundation) · 46% of rookies wash out in the first 18 months (Leadership IQ) · 53% of managers and executives brought on board from outside are gone within a year (Development Dimensions International) The cost of new hire failure is any from 30% (Cornell University) to 150% of annual salary (Saratoga Institute, Hewitt Associates). Just on-boarding your new employees is not enough to ensure success. In this webinar Hit The Ground Running and VeriSign will present a new model for how you can increase new employee retention and performance by moving beyond new employee on-boarding to integration.
