With the recent rise in H-1B visa applications and a mandated cap of only 65,000 available each year, many employers are now looking at alternatives to the H-1B to ensure they can fill critical positions. One of the fastest growing options has been the L-1 visa. Designed as a temporary visa option for specialized workers employed by multinational companies, the L-1 visa has expanded in popularity in recent years and many employers are now challenged to determine if this option is a fit for their organization. In addition, the importance of proper filing has been magnified due to increased scrutiny of applications by the USCIS.
This session will introduce the requirements and limitations surrounding the L-1 visa for both those companies considering this temporary visa option for the first time or those currently utilizing the L-1.
