Each year, corporations lose billions of dollars due to ineffective leaders, stressed or sick employees, or projects that simply go astray. HR executives play a critical and essential role in helping corporations understand the value of having a healthy workplace. As part of our continuing commitment to the ongoing education of HR professionals, HR.com is launching the Healthiest Workplace Challenge. The challenge is open to any firm that wants to drive bottom line results and create a healthier work environment.
The Challenge is a new initiative being introduced at HR.com’s 2009 Employers of Excellence Conference, being held January 27-29, 2009 in Las Vegas. The Healthiest Workplace Challenge is modeled after reality-TV shows such as “The Biggest Loser”.

Participating companies will be grouped by industry and/or size, and will compete against each other to see which one can make the most improvements in each of three key areas in the course of a year.
