Vancouver, BC (
Vocus/
PRWEB ) May 5, 2010 -- Three Victoria-based consultants will help participants at Consulting Conference 2010, the
management consulting conference taking place May 28 – 29 in Vancouver, make the most of their online presence and online marketing activities.
Jeff Richards will deliver Building Your Website for Stormy Seas: Creating Credibility, Traffic and Authority. Chris Burdge will lead the workshop: Always Add Value: Why This Should be Your Social Media Mantra, while Terry Rachwalski will offer the session:
Nuts and Bolts: Building an Effective Web Presence.
“The web is changing constantly and it's a challenge to find ways to keep your site relevant, informative, easy-to-use and effective,” says Richards. “My presentation will lay out the best practices for growing your business online by finding and retaining the traffic that is directly related to your business – and doing so in a way that’s cost-effective.”
Richards manages Constant-Content.com, a content marketplace where freelance writers connect with online publishers. He is also part of the management team at RevenueWire, an e-commerce platform where online businesses sell digitally download-able products.
Chris Burdge, founder of bWEST, an interactive marketing services firm, says his workshop will demonstrate that social media is neither a sales channel nor a marketing mechanism.
“Social media is a complete shift in the way you communicate with customers and prospects,” says Burdge. “My presentation starts with an overview of the social media landscape then goes into the details of how to create a value-based social media strategy that aligns with your communications strategy. The common thread throughout the presentation and the mantra we teach clients is ‘always add value.’"
Richards, Burdge, Rachwalski and John Thorp, presenter of the workshop Unlocking Value – Delivering on the Promise of IT, will also participate in a technology panel discussion at the conference. Their individual workshops are among 12 sessions at Consulting Conference, which is sponsored by the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of B.C. and designed to help
business consultants enhance their consulting value to clients, to themselves, to the profession, and to society.
The conference will also feature a keynote presentation with internationally renowned management consultant Dr. Alan Weiss, author of more than 30 books about consulting.
