Are your recruitment strategies excluding one very important target audience? While only 15 percent of employed workers say they’re actively seeking another job, 50 percent say that although they are not actively looking they would be open to a new job if they came across one, according to a new CareerBuilder.com survey. These passive job seekers say that the top three ways they come across job opportunities are through online resources (26 percent), networking (26 percent) and reading the newspaper (17 percent). The survey titled "2007 Passive Job Seekers," was conducted from February 15 to March 6 of 6,823 private sector employees and 2,591 hiring managers.

"With 81 percent of employers planning to add new employees in 2007, competition is on the rise for qualified workers," said Jason Lovelace, vice president of Corporate Marketing for CareerBuilder.com. "Passive job seekers are an important segment of the candidate pool that hiring managers can’t afford to ignore in this highly competitive environment. However they need to understand what is most attractive to passive job seekers in regard to a job opportunity in order to effectively recruit this significant group of potential job candidates."

Based on results from the survey,  join Hope Gurion to discuss the following tips during the webcast on how to attract passive job seekers:
