Many organizations faced unprecedented challenges over the last 24-36 months. As a result, some organizations have reduced or altered their development programs. Organizations who continued to focus on employee development, even in the face of the difficult times, realized a return on their investment through employee experiences and attitudes. Analyses showing the influence of talent management on employee attitudes and performance will be presented along with implications for putting these practices into place will be discussed. A strong talent management climate was determined based on an organization’s propensity to engage in certain activities with their employees. Comparisons among employees who have different experiences will be shared as well as data showing the influence of continuing to prioritize talent management initiatives will be presented.
