Washington, D.C. - September 5, 2006 - The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that it has partnered with the National Human Resources Development Network (NHRD) in India to co-promote and participate in NHRD's 2006 annual conference in New Delhi, November 1-3, 2006. The NHRD will in turn, co-promote and participate in HCI and DNL Global's Talent Management Summit in Delhi on November 4, 2006.
For almost a decade, the NHRD in India has staged India's leading annual HR conference. Today, with interest in India at an all-time high, the NHRD is opening its doors to an international delegation for the first time.
"By bringing leading HR and Operations executives together from India, Asia, the United States and Europe, we intend to address global workforce realities and the impact and opportunities they offer India. For our international participants, there can be no better forum than the NHRD conference in which to gain a deep and current understanding of the HR and Human Capital issues in India." Said Patnam Dwarakanath, President of the NHRD India.
"This is a unique opportunity for human capital leaders from around the world to forge strategic relationships and partnerships ahead of their competition. The game has changed over the past few years, today, it's not just about offshoring work to reduce costs - it's about building competitive advantage." Said Lori Blackman, President of DNL Global.
With DNL Global, HCI is working with the NHRD to offer programs that will give delegates insight into the new world of transoceanic work teams, global talent management and the changing corporate landscape. In both programs we will examine issues related to talent acquisition, retention and development in India. Participants will gain first-hand knowledge of how to build successful workforce relationships across Indian, North American and European cultures.
"India is blessed with one of the worlds best demographic outlooks for the next 50 years," said Allan Schweyer, HCI's President & Executive Director, "moreover, its investment in education and its commitment to growing an innovative, knowledge economy, make it a must destination for any forward-thinking organization."
