Hudson Expands Talent Management Capabilities with Alder Novo Acquisition, New COO

Strengthens Position in North American HR Consulting Market

 

CHICAGO, IL - January 17, 2006 - Hudson Highland Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HHGP), one of the world's leading providers of specialized professional staffing, retained executive search and human capital solutions, today announced that it has acquired the business of Alder Novo, LLC, an organizational performance and talent management consulting firm with locations in the eastern United States and Canada.

Established in 2003, Alder Novo provides services to many Fortune 500 companies in the areas of strategy implementation, organization strategy and design, organization development, leadership development and coaching, training strategy and planning.

Principals from Alder Novo who will be joining Hudson´s Talent Management practice as a result of the acquisition include:

·       Gerald D. Pulvermacher, Ph.D. has over 30 years of consulting experience in the areas of executive team development, leadership development at all organization levels, and strategic change leadership. He has worked with numerous public and private sector organizations in North America, Europe and the Caribbean.

·       Vincent D. Firth has more than 25 years of consulting experience in leadership development specializing in strategic approaches to improving human and organization performance. He is also an expert in identifying and growing leading edge intellectual capital, bringing fresh ideas and heightened results to corporate organization learning and development.

·       Andrea C. Zintz, Ph.D. has more than 25 years of experience as a leader in human resources, organizational effectiveness and worldwide leadership development. As VP of Human Resources, and a Management Board member of the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, Ortho Biotech Inc., she led the growth of the company from $40 million to $500 million in a 6-year period, and launched two breakthrough products that continue to lead the market.

·       Ilene Fischer has more than 15 years experience in selling, designing, and managing organizational transformation consulting and training projects. She has sold and led complex engagements with clients in industries as varied as government, healthcare, financial services, food and beverage, telecommunications, paper and consumer products.

Hudson also announced that Robert Morgan, 46, has joined the company as chief operating officer of its North American Talent Management Practice.   In his role, Robert oversees the continued growth and development of Hudson's assessment and talent management offerings in North America, which will include the former Alder Novo team.

Prior to Hudson, Morgan served as the president of the employment solutions division and the human capital consulting group of Spherion Corporation, where he was responsible for the organization´s talent development, outplacement, assessment and outsourcing businesses. He led the design, development, and execution of a comprehensive strategic business plan for the human capital consulting group.  He previously held a variety of management positions in HR and strategy for Office Depot and Roses Stores, Inc.
