(PRWeb) March 15, 2007 -- The top five career sectors predicted to enjoy solid job growth over the next decade are profiled in the March newsletter at LearningAndLife.com, the comprehensive Web site that features career tips, educational advice and school listings (http://www.LearningAndLife.com). The in-demand professions include health care, accounting and finance, business administration, information technology (IT) and retail management.
"With over 13.5 million jobs in the United States, the healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the nation," reports LearningAndLife.com newsletter author Lauren Stadler. "Demand for nurses and health aides is going to skyrocket." Health care professions should add 3.6 million jobs to a sector that will grow by 27 percent by the year 2014. For new nurses, a registered nursing license will earn them about three times the salaries of nurses without one.
With regard to other industries, Stadler writes, "The timing couldn't be better for prospective IT professionals because the industry is one of the fastest-growing occupational groups in the country." The software publishing niche alone is expected to increase by 68 percent by 2014. IT professionals with certifications earned 29 percent more than their uncertified counterparts in 2005. She also discusses growth in accounting and finance, business administration and retail management, citing U.S. Bureau of Statistics data as support.
