COMMUNITY HEALTH CHARITIES LAUNCHES FREE VIRTUAL HEALTH PROGRAM ON NATIONAL EMPLOYEE HEALTH AND FITNESS DAY
Arlington, VA, May 19, 2009 — Community Health Charities, announces the launch of its new year-round program Health Matters at Work™. Disabilities and chronic diseases affect more than 125 million Americans. Working with the nation’s leading health charities, this program provides easy access for employees in the workplace who seek to connect to reliable health information and resources.

Through a website, podcasts and webinars, Health Matters at Work™ provides a user-friendly online portal that makes it easy to find:
- Health Risk Assessment Tools
- Warning Signs and Symptoms of Chronic Diseases
- Disease Management Tools
- Diet and Exercise Tools
- Health and Wellness Programs for the Workplace

“We are very excited to offer our corporate partners, their employees and their families a wealth of useful health information in a central location,” said Thomas G. National Employee Health & Fitness Day™ (NEHF) is the third Wednesday in May each year. Administered annually by the National Association for Health & Fitness, NEHF is a national health observance created to promote the benefits of physical activity for individuals through worksite health promotion activities.

In addition to the website, Health Matters at Work™ features a podcast series addressing a broad range of health issues. Twenty-six video podcasts have been developed with the support of numerous Community Health Charities members. Among those participating are: American Lung Association, Cancer Research Institute, Autism Speaks, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and many other leading charitable organizations.
