CHICAGO (January 7, 2010) – Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is pleased to announce the selection of David D. Jones as its new senior vice president and chief human resources officer. As an HR executive in the health care and financial service industries for more than 20 years, Jones is known for facilitating large scale organization transformations, and for developing and executing world-class HR strategies. He comes to HCSC from Bon Secours Health System – a large Catholic Health System with more than 20,000 employees in 20 hospitals across 7 states – where he served as SVP of Human Resources since 2000.

At Bon Secours, Jones built an integrated customer-focused HR function that drove organizational change. There he developed a human capital strategy that focused on talent management, leadership effectiveness and employee engagement initiatives.

Jones holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Industrial and Labor Relations from West Virginia University. He begins work with HCSC on January 25 as a member of the company’s Senior Leadership Team.
