Seasoned Industry Experts Join Growing Compensation and Performance Management Software Company
ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. (March 5, 2007) – HCR Software Solutions, former software division of The Janis Group, Inc. (JGI), today announced that Scott Johnson and Jamie Davis have joined the company’s executive management team as vice president, Sales and Marketing and vice president, Business Development, respectively.
Johnson has been in the HR technology space for more than eight years. Prior to joining HCR Software Solutions, Johnson was an independent consultant who helped world-class organizations evaluate, select and implement talent management technologies, including compensation management, performance management, succession planning and learning management. His consulting clients included Sprint, Raytheon, ConocoPhillips and Northwestern Mutual.

As a senior writer for the Human Capital Institute (HCI), he writes on a variety of strategic HR topics, including case studies on the Clorox Company, Starbucks and ADP. Earlier in his career, as chief operating officer and director of technology for an HR software company, Johnson led the development of several applications, including performance management. He also led the sales organization to record growth and spearheaded several key partnerships, including selection as one of four initial IBM e-business on-demand solutions partners.
Johnson also worked in rural community development and served in the Peace Corps in Ghana, West Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, a master’s degree in Economics from Western Illinois University and has completed PhD coursework in Economics at Kansas State University. He works from HCR’s sales office in Plano, Texas.
Davis has more than eight years of experience in HR technology. He has broad experience in managing business units to profitability, building revenue-generating strategic partnerships and turning around troubled business units. Davis has consistently demonstrated vision in complex solution sales, business process consulting, mergers and acquisitions and the development of strategic partnerships.
Before joining HCR Software Solutions, Davis held various senior management roles at Vurv, formerly Recruitmax Software, including vice president, Corporate/Business Development, where he launched and managed a team dedicated to building strategic partnerships. In this role, Davis forged many successful and revenue-producing strategic partnerships with an emphasis on outsourcing relationships and services partners. He also managed the integration and re-organization of the KnowledgePoint business unit into Vurv, resulting in a significant return on investment. Davis earned degrees from the University of North Florida and Logos Christian College in Jacksonville, Fla.
