(JGI), today announced version 2.2 of SalaryXL, the breakthrough application that allows companies to fully automate their salary planning processes by leveraging their familiar Excel spreadsheets and minimizing the change management challenges.
Setting SalaryXL 2.2 apart from other solutions on the market is its ability to utilize existing Excel spreadsheets, through a robust database-driven salary planning application that still allows managers to access the system via their familiar Excel interface. SalaryXL 2.2 includes significant functionality enhancements, such as point-and-click organizational management, which enables planning managers and compensation professionals to quickly and easily modify organizational hierarchies. Users can highlight single or multiple employees and move them, create new groups or departments, even move large groups of employees. New workflows can be created intuitively and quickly. SalaryXL 2.2 automatically updates all affected workflows, synchronizes approval levels and removes orphan groups.
SalaryXL version 2.2 also includes additional column formatting making spreadsheets easier to design for maximum usability. Downloading spreadsheets or working online in spreadsheet view, planning managers or compensation personnel will find themselves familiar with the look and feel of their downloaded Excel spreadsheets, including charts and graphs, enhancing user comfort. It also features advanced password protection to protect sensitive data.
Planning managers and compensation professionals can natively inject real-time salary planning data into Excel spreadsheets and SalaryXL 2.2 takes this a step further giving users the ability for advanced analytics, including custom workbooks with preset charts, formulas, pivot tables and more. In addition, all user and administrator activities and events are captured and available in reports to assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and general user, application and process auditing.
Additionally, this version of SalaryXL enables salary planning tasks to be completed either online or offline at the user´s convenience with little or no training. SalaryXL 2.2 also has strong integration capabilities to ADP, Lawson, PeopleSoft, or Oracle HRMS. In addition to Oracle and Microsoft SQL server support, SalaryXL 2.2 provides beta support for MySQL, the popular and powerful open-source database.
