Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) October 13, 2006 -- The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and Franklin University, a Columbus-based educator known for its focus on providing educational opportunities and choices for working adults, announced today that RJ Nicolosi, President of Midwest Electric, will speak at the fourth program in a series of B-School Network and Learn events for the central Ohio business community.

The networking breakfast event will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM ET, on the Franklin University Columbus campus in the Richard M. Ross Auditorium, 301 E. Rich Street.

Nicolosi's presentation, "Cultural Change: Accelerate Growth and Drive Results," will share the insights, experience, and innovative strategies he used to transform an old-industry company into an innovative competitor by focusing on talent management and leadership.

Nicolosi was the catalyst that drove the evolution of Midwest Electric from a leadership paradigm born of the Industrial Economy, to one focused on human capital competing successfully in today's Knowledge Economy. Since Nicolosi took the helm, Midwest Electric has experienced significant growth. The 2006 Inc. 500 list shows Midwest Electric as the fastest growing central Ohio company.

"Professionals who attend the Franklin event will take away an understanding of how RJ Nicolosi stimulated growth through a diligent focus on talent. Attendees will learn how a leader can get the job done through effective human capital management focus," said HCI's President & Executive Director Allan Schweyer.

RJ Nicolosi serves as President of Midwest Electric, overseeing sales, finance, and quality assurance. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with majors in international relations and philosophy, Nicolosi's areas of expertise are strategic planning; sales and marketing process improvement; financial planning and accounting; IT strategies; organizational review; and business process improvement.

Nicolosi's extensive experience includes work in numerous industries. Before joining Midwest Electric, he was with Arthur Andersen, where he led a regional consulting team. An active member of trade organizations, Nicolosi serves as Secretary of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)/National Contractors Association (NECA), 4th District Health Fund, and is a trustee for the IBEW/NECA Local Union 575 Pension Fund. In addition, he sits on the board of American Line Builders.

Nicolosi also currently serves on the Executive Board for Junior Achievement of Central Ohio and is Chairman of the Hesburgh Lecture Series for the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Columbus.
