OTTAWA - April 25, 2006 - Halogen Software Inc., the leading provider of Web-based employee performance management (EPM) software has announced its tenth consecutive record quarter, with the conclusion of the first fiscal quarter, ending Mar 31. Building on its strong growth and momentum from 2005, the first quarter of 2006 produced the best quarterly revenue ever, with year-over-year customer growth of 96 percent.
Halogen´s first quarter growth further strengthens its position as the EPM vendor of choice. The overwhelming success of the opening quarter is the result of continued high demand for the company's award winning, Web-based EPM solutions, including an increased demand for its specialized Halogen eAppraisal Healthcare.
"IDC forecasts that worldwide spending on workforce performance management will reach $1.8 billion by 2009, growing at a CAGR of nearly 16 percent, the fastest-growing segment of talent management." Said Lisa Rowan, IDC's program manager for HR and Talent Management services research. "Halogen's growth at 96 percent continues to exceed IDC's forecast for the segment overall."
Halogen eAppraisalTM has enabled new customer, the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency (CEMA), to escape the limitations of its former labor-intensive, paper-based system of employee appraisals. "Of the eight vendors we looked at, Halogen best accommodated what we were looking for. We wanted a powerful yet simple Web-based solution because the paper format was very hard to keep track of," said Charles Jamieson, Chief Human Resources Officer for CEMA.
A few of the other new customers to sign in Q1 include: Deltek Systems, EFG Hermes, TracFone, Peoples Bank and Trust Co., Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, JH Findorff & Son Inc., Salix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Merchandise Mart Properties, Clearfield Hospital, Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation, Leon County Florida, GeoVera Holdings, Inc., Edgewater Computer Systems, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Raritan Bay Medical Center, Faithful+Gould and Future Publishing Limited.
