OTTAWA - October 11, 2005 - Halogen Software Inc., the leading provider of Web-based employee performance management (EPM) software, today announced record growth in sales for the eighth consecutive quarter, following the release of its third quarter results ending September 30, 2005.
Along with expanding its current license base with existing customers, Halogen added a record 60 new customers in Q3, far outpacing industry growth predictions for the EPM Software market. Seats of its flagship product Halogen eAppraisal grew by well over 100% year over year. Revenue also grew in tandem with new sales. The value of the deals closed in September has eclipsed any other month on record.
Halogen continues to dominate the healthcare market adding 14 new hospitals this quarter for Halogen eAppraisal Healthcare, a product built specifically to meet the needs of this sector. The product helps hospitals and ambulatory services organizations ensure their clinical competency checklists, performance appraisals and development plans are completed professionally and on time to meet strict accreditation requirements.
"To find the right solution, we utilized the Gartner study," says Fran Keane, VP HR for CentraState Healthcare System, a 263-bed, full-service community medical center in Freehold, NJ. "After evaluating the best of the bunch, Halogen was by far the best choice for our organization."
Other new Healthcare customers include: North Valley Hospital, St. Joseph Health, Parkview Health System Inc., Sacred Heart Health Services, Trinity Medical Center, Firelands Regional Medical Center, Great River Medical Center and Columbia Basin Health Association.
From across several other industries, new customers include: Sharp Electronics Canada, Load King Manufacturing, Epicor Software, Railinc, Silver Point Capital, LP, Hay Group BV, Texas Water Development Board, American List Counsel Inc., and Epson America, Inc.
Building on the 51 new customer wins in Q2, these additional 60 new customers in Q3 bring the company's total number of clients to well over 300.

Halogen was awarded top prize in the category of "Innovative & Creative Development of Human Resource Technology Solutions" from HR Events and The International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC).
Halogen announced a sales and integration partnership with learning management company, WBT Systems. The collaboration will bring Halogen´s best-of-breed solutions to WBT´s existing clients and new customers.
In their 2005 Employee Performance Management (EPM) Software Vendor MarketScope Report1, Gartner Research ranked Halogen Software with a 'strong positive' rating. Gartner considers companies receiving a ´Strong Positive´ rating to be solid providers of strategic products, services or solutions.
