ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (July 18, 2006) - PeopleFilter ® Technology, developers of the PeopleFilter applicant tracking system, today announced that Hans Gieskes, the president and chief executive officer of H3.com and former president of Monster.com, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Gieskes brings a wealth of experience in leading high-profile business-to-business and consumer ventures to PeopleFilter Technology. He is a co-founder, president and CEO of H3.com, a cash reward referral-hiring tool designed to identify relevant candidates within personal and extended networks. Gieskes previously served as the chairman, chief executive officer and president of publishing giant Houghton Mifflin Company, a $1.3 billion publishing company. Before that, he was the president of Monster.com, the world's largest and most prominent online global careers network, where he oversaw that company's day-to-day management and global operations.
"We're honored to welcome Hans to our board and are grateful to gain the benefits of his experience and vision," said Frank Pirri, co-founder and chief executive officer of PeopleFilter. "Hans is renowned in the recruiting technology industry and we're looking forward to leveraging his wisdom and guidance."
"The key to successful recruiting is to know exactly what you're looking for and why, and PeopleFilter's unique Skills Library is the only way to truly manage the recruitment process from start to end," said Gieskes. "In my opinion, applicant tracking has to be more than just a CRM application. It has to bring focus and clarity to the process as well as easy access to all stakeholders, including candidates. PeopleFilter Technology does do all of that well."
Earlier in his career, Gieskes also served as the president and chief executive officer of Lexis-Nexis Group and has held senior executive positions for the parent company of Lexis-Nexis, Reed Elsevier. He holds a B.S. degree from the Netherlands Institute of Marketing in Amsterdam.
Gieskes' appointment fills the remaining open independent seat on PeopleFilter's board of directors. Other board members include Pirri and Kevin Harrison, co-founder and chief operating officer of PeopleFilter, Murray Wilson, managing director of River Cities Capital Funds, and David Vogel, managing director of Velocity Equity Partners.
