Educational Advisory Services Inc. (EASi), is a provider of consulting and services for the development of Best-Practice corporate tuition assistance programs. Now, EASi offers direct, portable college credit for appropriate corporate training programs. This includes both purchased training and internal curriculum designs.

Corporate training, professional certifications, and management internships often are equivalent in their content as a college/university academic course. The important factor in awarding college credit is the assessment of “equivalent” learning. EASi will review all corporate training and categorize single, or groups of courses, for award of college credit by our partner college. Some training courses may “own” recommendations for college credit by other agencies, yet corporations are not aware of their standings. Once all such courses are determined, EASi professionals evaluate all remaining training courses and present a feasibility study report to both the corporate customer and the partner college. Faculty from the partner college will review and award the final credit for training.

Employees who complete the appropriate training courses can prove completion and apply for the college credit. The partner college will transfer the training course into a course equivalency at their campus. As an example, if any employee completed extensive Management training, she may have earned credit for BUS 202: Introductory Supervisory Skills for 3.0 semester college credit. This college course is put on a transcript and the employee can request it be sent to any other Regionally accredited college or university in the country for transfer credit – there are about 4,100 academic colleges and universities who will accept this credit.

“We are excited to offer this unique opportunity to corporations, organizations and government. This program rids duplication of costs by training departments and tuition assistance, while bridging learning initiatives “siloed” by HR functions. Our customers are really excited too”, says EASi President, E. Faith Ivery, Ed.D.
The cost of this credit conversion is 73 percent less than the average cost of tuition if taken through the college. This opportunity is a win for the employee and the educational sponsor.
