PHILADELPHIA – February 8, 2007 – Gerald Purgay has joined Right Management as Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, with worldwide responsibility for corporate branding and marketing.
Purgay reports directly to Douglas J. Matthews, President and Chief Operating Officer of Right Management, the world’s largest outplacement firm, and a leading global provider of integrated consulting solutions across the employment lifecycle, with more than 300 service locations worldwide.
“Gerald brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this position,” said Matthews. “I am confident his expertise in strategic business and marketing planning, brand management, marketing communications, and other critical areas will increase Right Management’s brand presence and business performance on a global scale.”
Purgay, who has 18 years of experience in the domestic and international marketing of service organizations, brings with him a successful track record of growing revenue and market share, driving competitive advantage, and enhancing customer loyalty.
Prior to joining Right Management, Purgay was the Chief Marketing Officer at Behavioral Science Technology Inc., where he was responsible for developing and executing the company’s global marketing strategy.
Previously, Purgay was the top marketing executive for Drake Beam Morin.
During his eight years at the organization, he was instrumental in implementing strategies and initiatives that generated new business and increased revenue. Additionally, he developed global marketing and brand strategies that were designed to enhance brand awareness and improve market position.
Earlier, Purgay spent eight years at Achieve Global, where he first directed Canadian, then North American marketing activities.
Purgay earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from York University and an MBA in marketing from the New York Institute of Technology.
