WEST DES MOINES, IOWA, September 28, 2005 -- GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of Managed Learning Services and hosted learning technology, was awarded Best of Show in the "Training Outsourcing Organizations" category at the TechLearn 2005 conference in Las Vegas this week. The Best of Show Awards honor exhibitors, products and services with the best potential to change the future of the learning and training industry. The presentations were made during a ceremony held September 27 at the Bellagio Hotel.
TechLearn is a practitioner-led conference covering issues for business, education and government leaders who use learning and training to develop workforce skills, engage customers and provide interactive programs in their organizations.
GeoLearning was awarded Best of Show for its Managed Learning Services approach, which provides clients with a comprehensive training outsourcing process. GeoLearning enables clients to wholly or partially outsource the technical and administrative functions of their training operations, while retaining strategic control of the elements that are core to their business. The company´s Software as a Service model eliminates all the headaches, hassles and risks associated with traditional hardware and software implementations. GeoLearning handles all the technical and administrative aspects of a client´s learning initiative, from Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS) to content services, program support, systems integration and end-user Help Desk.
The judges, all learning and training industry experts, made their award selection based on several factors, including ease of integration, implementation, system quality, customer service features and return on investment.
"With the strength and quality of submissions for TechLearn´s inaugural Best of Show awards, the judges had a most difficult time determining this year´s award winners," said Christina Condos, group show director of Questex Media, the producer of TechLearn. "Through their hard work, we are confident that the winning selections represent the most cutting-edge solutions in the learning and training industry today."
"The fundamental difference between GeoLearning and most of our competitors is that we are not a software company," said Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning. "Traditional e-learning companies sell a software package. In this traditional model, responsibility for delivering and servicing the software and its end-users rests with customers and whatever IT and support resources they have available. Conversely, GeoLearning is a full-service learning provider that helps our clients get out of the IT project business so they can focus on the strategically important activities that truly make a difference for their organizations."
