WEST DES MOINES, IOWA, November 17, 2008 -- GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand learning and performance management technology platforms, has introduced innovative functionality in the latest release of its GeoMaestro 5 Series learning management system for organizations that offer Extended Enterprise Training (training to external audiences such as partners, customers and channels).

GeoMaestro 5.3.2, the company's latest release of its on-demand learning and performance management platform, enables clients to configure the LMS to modify existing navigation elements and add new items based on learning objectives. Clients can create pages within the LMS that contain multiple widgets (small imbedded tools or information) to convey information to learners.

"It's not enough for a learning management system to simply launch and track training events," said Chris Lennon, Senior Product Manager for GeoLearning. "The LMS has to become a communication platform that is integrated into the business flow of the organization."

The new functionality also gives GeoLearning clients the ability to insert industry- and company-specific information within their learning portals. Even more powerful is the ability to have customer-specific information rendered dynamically depending on upon login credentials. This enables clients to communicate and market to their various learning audiences—especially those outside of the organizations like customers, channels, partners, members and vendors.

"The product's flexibility allows us to position our LMS as more than a platform for e-learning," said Doug Justus, Training Manager for Middough, Inc. and early adopter of the new EET tools. "We can develop and promote just-in-time learning opportunities to our learning audiences. Branding and communication are important to our organization. The ability to change our messaging and promote unique learning opportunities gives us a competitive edge and makes it much more than just an investment in e-learning. It's an investment in the sustainability and growth of our organization."

Other examples for how client organizations have already taken advantage of the new EET features include promoting upcoming events with a flash banner across landing pages, posting industry news and events on welcome pages, incorporating a wiki or blog, and listing helpful learning tips and LMS how-to's.
