TORONTO – February 26/07 - WeirFoulds LLP Partner Frank Walwyn has been re-elected to his second term as President of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL).
In addition to his CABL responsibilities, he is a member of the Equity Advisory Group which assists the Law Society of Upper Canada's Equity and Aboriginal Issues Committee on the development of policy options for the promotion of equity and diversity in the legal profession.
A Member of WeirFoulds' Management Committee, Mr. Walwyn's practice focuses on complex litigation matters.
Well experienced in e-discovery issues, he was on the legal team representing WestJet in its recent litigation with Air Canada that resulted in the first reported case to discuss and apply the Guidelines for the Discovery of Electronic Documents in Ontario (Air Canada v. WestJet Airlines Ltd. (2006), 267 D.L.R. (4th) 483 (Ont. S.C.J.).
Mr. Walwyn, a member of the Bars of Ontario and St. Kitts and Nevis, frequently consults and appears as counsel on complex litigation matters in the Caribbean.
