Former Merck Human Resources Executive Joins Vienna HCA

Jim Rancourt has recently joined Vienna Human Capital Advisors, LLC (Vienna HCA) as an Executive-in-Residence.

Radnor, PA December 8, 2009 –– Jim Rancourt has recently joined Vienna Human Capital Advisors, LLC (Vienna HCA) as an Executive-in-Residence. Jim will focus on serving and expanding Vienna’s client base in human capital management advisory services and rollout of the Vienna Human Capital Index™, a decision support tool that measures the financial performance of an organization’s investment in human capital…people.

Prior to joining Vienna HCA, Jim served in senior Human Resources roles in Fortune 500 companies including International Paper, Bausch & Lomb, Merck & Co., and Eastman Kodak. Most recently he was Vice President, Human Resources for Unity Health System, a comprehensive healthcare network in Western, New York. “During his extensive career, Jim developed into a global transformational leader with proven skills in navigating organizations through rapid and disruptive change” said Frank DiBernardino, Managing Principal of Vienna HCA. “Jim is a trusted advisor with demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions that balance business and employee needs. Jim’s expertise will serve his clients well in his new role with Vienna.”

Jim’s experience has spanned all aspects of the Human Resources function in organizations that have experienced a wide range of change…from rapid growth to integration of cultures to massive restructuring. His leadership style enables him to effectively deal with all levels of an organization bringing fiscally responsible, value added services.

A former board and executive committee member of the Employment Policy Foundation, Jim is currently a member of the Wharton (UPenn)Human Resources Research Advisory Group as well as the Society of Human Resources Management. Jim previously served as a member of the Rochester (NY) Business Alliance and Nazareth (College) Human Resources Executive Group.

 Jim holds both a B.S. in Management and MBA degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
