eQuest Takes High Road on Free Job Boards

Free Job Boards Must Meet Specific Criteria to become Certified prior to being Allowed in Enterprise Network Delivery System

San Ramon, CA - May 25, 2006 - eQuest, the world's leading job posting distributor, announced today that it will be the first job posting distributor to monitor, evaluate, and report on the success rates of free job boards on the internet for its customers. Job boards meeting eQuest's criteria will be awarded a "certification" that will allow the board into the eQuest enterprise job board network.

eQuest presently offers a channel of free boards for its customers featuring a wide array of diverse, specialized boards. But many job boards in the channel continue to cross-post eQuest delivered jobs to other free boards, skewing its ability to gather precise analytics of how each specific job board is uniquely performing."

eQuest will continue to offer the free board channel while it builds its certified free board group in its enterprise edition.

"The days of posting jobs to numerous unproven and unknown job boards are over," said Philip Hendrickson, Manager of Sourcing at Fannie Mae. "With eQuest certifying the job boards that we use based on candidate traffic and behavior I won't have my jobs on an endless journey through the Internet. It's important for me to know that our jobs are on legitimate and appropriate websites".

Parts of the certification include the job boards' agreement not to redistribute any eQuest delivered jobs; a minimum traffic threshold for unique visits; a minimum standard number of candidate's viewing jobs; and notable metrics based on following candidate's to the customer's career site for application.

"Quality, free sites are not an oxymoron," said John Malone, President and Chief Executive Officer at eQuest. "Our goal is provide these sites to our customers based on valid, unbiased, third party analytics."

About eQuest eQuest provides domestic and international job-posting delivery services reaching over 200 countries and territories worldwide. eQuest also provides job board negotiating, job board billing aggregation, consulting services, and complete job tracking analysis for evaluating job board performance. eQuest is one of the most recognized and admired brands in the human resource industry. eQuest can be reached at www.equest.com.
