San Ramon, CA (June 15, 2006) - eQuest, the global leader in job posting distribution services, announced today its completion of its first 60-day analysis of twenty (20) free job boards on the Internet. eQuest will be testing hundreds of free boards throughout 2006 to determine the effectiveness of free job posting sites as well as those boards meeting or exceeding eQuest standards for certification.
The boards were evaluated using several technology indicators that measure overall candidate traffic effectiveness. Job boards must also agree to certain job posting conditions required by eQuest to meet the certification.
Portions of the certification include that (a) sites not redistribute any eQuest delivered jobs to any other non-owned website or owned subsidiary site; (b) the job boards must publish eQuest delivered unique URL's providing one-click candidate traffic from the job board directly back to the customer career site for application; (c) and the job board must meet certain candidate traffic and site activity minimums.
"The perception of distributing jobs to hundreds or thousands of non-effective job boards is completely devoid of wisdom or good sense." said Jeff Dahltorp, Vice President of Client Services at eQuest. "Our customers have overwhelmingly requested a smaller group of more highly effective, free job boards and to this end we are dedicated."
eQuest established the free job board certification program in April, 2006 to continue to offer industry-leading recruitment products and services to its worldwide customer base. The program is the first job distribution company to harvest traffic trending data on free job boards and report these back to its users. Only job boards meeting eQuest's strict standards will be awarded certification and admission into the eQuest Enterprise Network.
eQuest will continue to monitor the remaining job sites in the first group as well as move the next twenty (20) free sites into queue for evaluation.
