MphasiS Healthcare Solutions Integrates Consumer-Directed Healthcare Product with Core Health Benefits Management Solution

Phoenix, Ariz.Dec. 7, 2006MphasiS Healthcare Solutions (MHS), a provider of health benefit management and business process outsourcing (BPO) services announced today that it now offers healthcare payers an integrated solution for health benefits management, with a consumer-directed healthcare plan (CDHP) option called CDHpac. CDHpac integrates seamlessly with MHS’ HEALTHpac 4.

“CDHpac provides administrators with a cost-effective system to manage consumer-directed healthcare plans while delivering enhanced employee control over benefit-contribution decisions,” explains Siva Namasivayam, MHS chairman.  “Now they can leverage real-time access and management of CDHP accounts – optimizing employer resources and maximizing employee satisfaction.”

24x7 Employee Access

Through CDHpac, employees obtain 24-hour access to financial healthcare account information through an employer-branded website. In addition, employees can view the latest transactions from their Account cards, which are linked to their Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Health Spending Account (HSA).

CDHpac’s benefit administration includes:

Member-level plan and account spending definitions

Convenient contribution fund management

Automated rule-based reimbursement, auto-recoveries and adjustments

Electronic transaction exchange with pharmacy benefit managers and financial custodians

Regulatory and client reporting

Administrative Functionality

CDHpac integrates expanded data, business rules and workflow triggers, allowing administrators to reduce the time spent on routine administrative tasks and focus on enriching the enrollee experience. CDHpac’s functionalities consist of:

Plan design, eligibility, funding, payment, rollover and auto-adjudication rules

Contribution and spending definitions by account type for each individual to include frequency, debit/EFT accounts and payment assignments

Reimbursement triggers from incoming or adjusted claims processed in HEALTHpac and receipts/EOBS that are substantiated by a debit card transaction comparison

EFT/check remittance and account reconciliations

Strong financial relationships

CDHpac Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) are linked to the Evolution Benefits Benny® prepaid benefits card. The system electronically synchronizes account balances, tracking and verifying FSA, HRA and HSA-eligible expenses.

Furthermore, covered individuals can directly tap into their account balances instead of following the traditional process of upfront payment and delayed reimbursement. Benny® incorporates the first and only proven electronic substantiation of benefit transactions, ensuring full compliance with federal guidelines.
