PHILADELPHIA – January 31, 2007 – Douglas J. Matthews has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Right Management; the world's largest outplacement firm and a leading global provider of integrated consulting solutions across the employment lifecycle, with more than 300 service locations worldwide.
Matthews will continue to report directly to Owen J. Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of Right Management. In his new role, Matthews has responsibility for global operations, product management, finance, and marketing.
Most recently, Matthews served as Executive Vice President, Global Operations. He has also served as Executive Vice President for the Americas, as Executive Vice President of Career Transition Services, and has more than 23 years in corporate marketing, information technology, product management, and career transition services at Right Management.
"Doug has earned the respect of our organization and industry, and is perfectly suited for his new role,” said Sullivan.
Matthews has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Employers Resource Association for Central and Southern Ohio. He is a member of the board of directors of the Columbus Council on World Affairs.
He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stony Brook University in New York, and has continued graduate studies at Xavier University.
