(BOSTON, MA, September 2009) – Spring Consulting Group, LLC announced that Donald J. Riggin, CPCU, ARM has joined their team as a Senior Consultant and Head of Risk Financing.
Don has over 25 years of experience creating alternative risk financing structures as a broker and consultant. He is involved in supporting several areas of Spring’s consulting practice, including providing corporate and public sector clients with state-of-the-art risk financing advice and services.
“Don is an accomplished member of the industry, and we are excited to have him join our team” said Karin Landry, Spring’s managing partner. “His depth of knowledge and experience will greatly add to our capabilities and help to drive growth.”
Prior to joining Spring, Don was Alternative Risk Solutions Practice Leader at another consulting firm. He was responsible for the alternative risk consulting practice, including creating captives and performing ART feasibility work.
Don is an accomplished author and speaker. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, and authored several publications, including IRMI’s Risk Financing (a quarterly reference service published by IRMI) and Financing Risk & Reinsurance (a monthly journal published by IRMI). Don is also the author of Practical Risk Hedging, a quarterly updated risk financing reference service published by The National Underwriter Company.
Don earned a B.S. in from Towson University. He holds Charted Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations, and is a member of RIMS, VCIA and CICA.
