David Giuntoli has joined Buck Consultants' St. Louis office as Principal and Office Manager.
Giuntoli joins Buck from Mercer Human Resource Consulting, where he headed its St. Louis office for nine years. He previously spent a short time as Principal with Buck, and has also served as Managing Partner of Hewitt´s St. Louis office. Giuntoli has 30 years of consulting and client management experience, with expertise in employee benefit plan design, funding, communication, and administration.
Giuntoli received his bachelor´s degree and M.B.A. from Marquette University. He is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Missouri Council on Economic Education and serves on the Dean´s Advisory Council for Marquette University´s College of Business Administration. He has addressed conferences of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and other professional organizations.
James Herod has joined Buck Consultants' Dallas office as Director in the Retirement practice.
Herod most recently served in the Dallas office of Mercer Human Resource Consulting as a Principal and ERISA Attorney. Prior to that, he was an ERISA attorney in the Dallas office of a large regional law firm. Herod has more than 20 years of employee benefit legal and consulting experience, with expertise in private sector, governmental and church qualified and nonqualified retirement plans; and in COBRA, HIPAA and other health and welfare benefit legal issues.
Herod received his J.D. degree from Baylor University School of Law and a master´s degree in health administration from Texas State University (formerly, Southwest Texas State University). He is licensed to practice law in Texas. Herod is also a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist and is pursuing a Master of Laws degree in taxation at Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. Herod has made presentations on various employee benefit legal issues and has been published in several periodicals.
