ASTD Certification Institute proudly announces that Darin Hartley, a 20-year veteran of the training industry, has joined its Board of Directors. The ASTD Certification Institute is an affiliate of the
American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) whose purpose is to set professional industry standards for the learning and performance profession. Hartley will serve a three year term on the board of directors until 2012.
Hartley currently serves as the Director of Client Management for
Intrepid Learning Solutions, a company that designs learning strategies and solutions that improve business productivity. In addition to advising senior executives on how to develop and deploy training programs, Intrepid offers technology-enabled solutions that speed the delivery of agile and mobile learning to targeted audiences.
Hartley was on staff with ASTD from 2001 to 2003 to lead the organization’s E-Learning Courseware Certification Program. He was on staff at Dell Learning for five years, and also worked at Lockheed Martin, General Physics Corporation, and the United States Navy. His expertise is in e-learning, learning strategy, social media, training design, and the business impact of learning.
Hartley is the author of several books, including
