Kansas City, Mo. (Vocus/PRWEB ) July 8, 2009 -- Councilwoman Cathy Jolly who currently serves on Missouri's City Council visited Pinnacle Career Institute's south Kansas City campus on June 29.
Councilwoman Jolly is one of many dignitaries who have visited Pinnacle Career Institute campuses throughout the month. PCI is one of many thousand career colleges in the United States that is providing students with an education that trains them for a specific career.
While taking a tour of campus, Jolly observed first-hand the advantages and opportunities the campus offers students. During her visit, she spoke to the student body at a campus-wide assembly and discussed the importance of higher education and skilled training. She also addressed different legislative issues regarding education at this time.
Jolly was elected to the City Council in 2007. She is an attorney and former assistant Jackson County prosecutor. Acknowledged by both political parties as an effective crime-fighter, Cathy has sponsored and passed legislation to protect the public, punish criminals and support victims of crime. Cathy has also served three terms as a State Legislator from the 45th District in Kansas City, from 2001 to 2006.
Jolly toured the PCI learning facility located at 1001 E. 101st Terrace, Suite 325, Kansas City, MO 64131. During the visit, she talked with administrators, faculty and students.
