P.L. Winners were selected based on their wellness program's
comprehensiveness, delivery, promotion, participation rates and results

P.L. Winners were selected based on their wellness program's
comprehensiveness, delivery, promotion, participation rates and results

Some highlights of the Health at Work Award winners' health and wellness
programs include:
* Seminars on eating healthy on a budget, in light of the economic downturn
* Expansion of the wellness concept to include mental/physical/interpersonal
and even financial health, with hosting of seminars on coping with financial
stress
* Financial incentives to exercise, whether gift cards, cash or points used
to
purchase items
* The granting of a full day off with pay for employees to get annual health
check ups
* Promotion of wellness initiatives alongside employee assistance programs
to
boost overall utilization and encourage proactive, preventive care
* Expanded reach of the wellness plan to include international workers and
employees not covered by the health plan
* More emphasis on creative "branding" of wellness efforts, including logos,
get-fit slogans and promotional themes to boost awareness and participation
* Educational emphasis on employees saving out-of-pocket health costs
through healthy behaviors
* Designated workout times during the workday with access to an on-site
trainer.
The Health at Work Awards are sponsored by ComPsych and its
