Ultimate Software(Nasdaq:ULTI), a leading provider of end-to-end strategic humanresources, payroll, and talent management solutions, announced todaythat Georgia Farm Bureau Companies is benefiting from UltiPro's Webself-service, extensive reporting library, and flexibility.
    WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2006--Ultimate Software
(Nasdaq:ULTI), a leading provider of end-to-end strategic human
resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, announced today
that Georgia Farm Bureau Companies is benefiting from UltiPro's Web
self-service, extensive reporting library, and flexibility.

Providing a wide variety of services from insurance to real estate
services, Georgia Farm Bureau represents producers of all major
agricultural commodities grown or raised in the state with 1,200
employees in 157 offices. Georgia Farm Bureau had been using a service
bureau and an in-house HRIS to handle payroll and workforce management
processes, but found that their lack of integration and outdated
functionality were creating barriers for process and service
improvements. The organization selected UltiPro in 2005.

"UltiPro is providing the tools my team needs to optimize the
contributions we make to our organization while helping our department
remain lean," said Kathy Hawthorne, HR director for Georgia Farm
Bureau. "Functionality like self-service is optimizing
cross-organization business benefits, cutting costs, and streamlining
processes for all involved."

Since employees and managers started logging in to the UltiPro
portal earlier this year to collect payroll, HR, and benefits details,
Georgia Farm Bureau has cut its use of paper dramatically. The UltiPro
portal electronically houses approximately 150 pages of
employee-related information, including the company's employee
handbook, code of ethics, security policy, and company forms.

"We have discontinued printing direct deposit advices, in addition
to many other documents and forms, because employees can see current
and historical information online with UltiPro. The portal is a
convenient, central location where we consolidate employee information
to improve communication and build savings in paper printing, storage,
handling, and mailing," said Hawthorne. "Employees and managers are
finding self-service especially beneficial because they do not need to
contact anyone in HR when they want facts, such as dates of hire or
compensation history and changes."

Because self-service is available via the Internet, supervisors
have 24-7 access to HR/payroll specifics about the people they manage
from the office, a hotel, or home. As authorized through UltiPro's
roles-based security, managers can quickly and easily retrieve data
with no need for additional paperwork, e-mails, or phone calls,
thereby increasing their self-sufficiency and productivity.

Like managers at Georgia Farm Bureau, the company's HR/payroll
team has accelerated its ability to collect meaningful
employee-related metrics. According to Hawthorne, UltiPro has
expedited day-to-day compliance and business intelligence reporting.
Company leadership can monitor the impact of labor costs on the
insurer's bottom line using the solution's real-time reporting.
UltiPro's library of more than 600 standard and customizable reports
gives Ultimate Software customers the ability to "slice and dice" and
"drill down" into detail by division, manager, job, or almost any
field where data is stored in UltiPro. Hawthorne and her team have
found that UltiPro not only delivers analytics more quickly, but also
more easily than before.

"To use our previous report writer, you had to have basic
programming skills," said Amy Pendley, benefits and compensation
manager for Georgia Farm Bureau. "With UltiPro, we can create reports
much more rapidly, and we do not need IT assistance or complicated
formulas on spreadsheets for us to get to the facts we want."

Georgia Farm Bureau has also found UltiPro to be more efficient
than the service bureau the insurance company previously used when
making changes that affect nearly everyone in its employee population.
For instance, Georgia Farm Bureau recently decided to reimburse
employees for work-related cell phone charges. With the service
bureau, such an adjustment could take weeks to execute, but with
UltiPro, Pendley added a new earnings code to UltiPro, and the
modification was complete in minutes.

"Businesses in service industries like Georgia Farm Bureau have
made significant investments in their talent, and UltiPro gives these
businesses the functionality, flexibility, and control needed to
manage their employees as effectively as possible," said Greg Swick,
senior vice president of sales for Ultimate Software. "We are very
pleased that Georgia Farm Bureau is leveraging UltiPro to make the
most of its people."
