Raleigh, N.C. - Capital Associated Industries, Inc., (CAI), the largest employers’ association in the North Carolina, announced today it was recently ranked 30th in Business Leader Media’s Top 100 N.C. Small Businesses for 2008. Business Leader received over 367 nominations and CAI was one ofthirty-seven Triangle companies named to the top 100 list. Winners were ranked based on community involvement, achievements and revenue growth.
“Receiving this recognition is an honor for the organization as a whole,” said Bruce Clarke, president and CEO of CAI, who has worked in the human resources industry for over twenty years. “This award is due to our talented CAI team and their extraordinary efforts to provide superior member service.”
Established in 1963, CAI is a human resources-focused, membership-driven organization that works with more than 1,200 companies throughout central and eastern North Carolina and has 46 employees in Raleigh and Greensboro. The organization more than doubled its size in the last five years.
CAI is also actively involved in the community including sponsoring various N.C. chapters of the Society for Human Resources Management, building a Habitat for Humanity home with membership involvement, and supporting the Guilford and Wake County Heart and Stroke Walks for the American Red Cross.
“This award is proof that CAI’s membership association model is working and our hard work doesn’t go unnoticed,” adds Clarke. “Given this trend, I don’t see us slowing down anytime soon.”
