Top outdoor sporting goods retailer teams up with Western Nebraska Community College to offer Cabela's employees 2-year associate degrees via GeoMaestro™ LMS platform.
WEST DES MOINES, IOWA, March 6, 2007 -- GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of Managed Learning Services and hosted performance and learning platforms, announced today that Cabela's, a top outdoor sporting good retailer, and Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) have broadened their use of the GeoMaestro Learning Management Suite (LMS) to include GeoEngage, a blended learning and collaboration platform. GeoEngage will be used to facilitate and manage blended learning activities as part of an Associate of Occupational Studies degree created uniquely for Cabela's workforce.
Cabela's, headquartered in Sidney, Nebraska, currently operates 18 retail locations across the United States and plans on opening 12 more in 2007-2008. The company's aggressive expansion plans necessitated a learning solution with the flexibility and scalability to grow rapidly. GeoLearning's GeoEngage will serve as the blended learning platform for Cabela's to launch its Associate of Occupational Studies degree across the enterprise. The degree program includes eight-week courses in the areas of business skills, sales training and compliance training.
