Brandon Hall Research Report Applauds Saba's Learning Management Suite

Saba Enterprise 2005 is a 'Full-featured', 'Robust', 'Mature' Product

Redwood Shores, Calif. - January 30, 2006 - Saba, a leading provider of Human Capital Management solutions, today announced that Brandon Hall Research, an independent analyst firm providing insight and advice on best practices and learning technologies, praised Saba Enterprise 2005 in its "LMS KnowledgeBase 2006". The online report, which provides extensive feature comparison as well as a critique of 52 learning management systems (LMSs), affirms Saba as "The system by which other LMSs are benchmarked."

Saba is described in the report as a "highly experienced organization" with "lots and lots of implementation and integration experience" and as having a "full-featured and mature product". The report cites the flexibility of the suite offering, stating that while all modules are "integrated and work well together", it also provides "flexibility for the enterprise to use just the modules they need" and the "ability to configure the fields and the sorting method for results displays."

Brandon Hall Research's online report is one of the industry's leading tools for evaluating learning management systems. To compile the data, the firm conducted extensive reviews of more than 50 LMSs.

In the report, Saba's collaboration tools were cited as "strong, including a tight integration with Centra" and other virtual classroom tools; performance management was considered a "defining characteristic" of the system, with "robust competency management and skill gap analysis functionality"; and the analytics capability was called out as "one of the best...in the industry." Saba Enterprise 2005, the report concludes, "is extremely well-suited for large-scale enterprise situations, but it scales down to smaller implementations quite nicely as well."

"We are delighted with Brandon Hall's assessment of Saba Enterprise 2005, which reflects our commitment to delivering the most advanced enterprise learning management solution available," said Bobby Yazdani, CEO and chairman of Saba. "The maturity of Saba's open, scalable technology platform has enabled us to provide a feature-rich solution that continues to be adopted by organizations worldwide."

Delivered through an open and scalable foundation, Saba Enterprise 2005 uses standards such as J2EE and Web Services, allowing extensive configurability, ease of implementation and rapid deployment. Saba Enterprise 2005 consists of the three suites and core foundation: Saba Learning Suite, Saba Performance Suite, Saba Talent Suite and Saba Foundation.
