Washington, DC, USA; June 6, 2006 - Boyden global executive search has opened an office in Dubai in the Middle East. The office continues the executive search firm´s expansion in key growth markets and will service the Middle East and North Africa region.
"Since Dubai is a critical gateway to the Middle East, opening this regional office is an important milestone for Boyden and crucial to the firm´s continued growth and prosperity," said Tim McNamara, Managing Director of the Boyden Baltimore-Washington regional office. McNamara was able to attend the opening ceremony of the Dubai office as part of his recent trip to several Middle Eastern countries, and just returned from a second trip to the region at the end of May.
"Dubai has become a regional center for commerce, transportation, tourism, and increasingly finance, and is a natural fit for our office and areas of expertise," said McNamara. The Baltimore-Washington regional office is leading a confidential CEO search for a Gulf country´s telecommunications company, and has secured several Middle East contracts in the aviation and infrastructure development sectors. Continued McNamara: "We´ve been conducting business in the region for many years and having a direct presence in Dubai gives us an opportunity to expand our client base and better serve our customers. Considering the growing need for construction management, infrastructure development, financial services, and security expertise in the area, Boyden is anticipating rapid growth throughout the region."
Boyden´s Middle East presence obtained a significant jump start with a strategic acquisition that encompasses an office of almost 30 professionals in Dubai.
"Given the number of headline international projects being announced on a regular basis, companies want to attract the best international talent for key management positions," said Magdy El Zein, Boyden Middle East Managing Director. "With the opening of our Dubai office, we are ideally located to fulfill client and candidate requirements for executive talent no matter where they are located around the world."
According to both McNamara and El Zein, Boyden is exploring the possibility of opening a number of regional offices in the Middle East. The executive search industry has seen annual growth of over 30 percent from last year, and Boyden exemplifies that growth, with the opening of its Zurich, Switzerland office the month prior to the Dubai office opening.
Founded in 1946, Boyden pioneered the use of executive search and is celebrating its 60th year of business. Today, Boyden is one of the oldest and largest privately owned search firms in the world with 69 offices in over 40 countries.
