U.S. Federal Government Expands & Extends Electronic HR Integration Contract with GeoLearning

OPM exercises $1.3 million fourth-year option of a five-year Internet hosting and security services contract.
WEST DES MOINES, IOWA, June 19, 2007 -- GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of Managed Learning Services and hosted learning and performance platforms, announced today that the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has renewed the fourth year of a five-year contract to provide Internet hosting and security services for the federal government's Electronic Human Resources Integration (EHRI). The Web-based initiative, which was built three years ago and became operational in just six weeks, is hosted at GeoLearning's state-of-the-art Internet Data Center in Ashburn, VA.

In addition to being extended, the managed learning services contract was expanded to include the provision of back-up services and expanded program support from GeoLearning.

"We are extremely pleased that OPM has renewed and expanded its EHRI hosting and security services contract with us," said Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning. "It is a tremendous demonstration of confidence in GeoLearning, and we are proud to be the largest provider of Software as a Service e-learning and human capital management tools to the civilian side of the federal government."

The EHRI initiative is a comprehensive electronic record-keeping and analysis system covering the entire life cycle of federal employees from hire to retirement, supporting human resources management across the federal government at all levels from employees to senior management. EHRI replaced the Official Personnel Folder (OPF) with an Official Electronic Record (OER) for some 1.8 million Executive Branch employees. Its systems integrate with other OPM eGov initiatives, including eTraining, ePayroll, eClearance and eHRIS.

EHRI benefits from the technology infrastructure and hosting environment originally created for OPM's GoLearn eTraining initiative. Developed by GeoLearning and launched in July 2002, www.golearn.gov is powered by GeoLearning's on-demand GeoMaestro learning management platform, providing one-stop access to learning and performance management services for more than 1.8 million people employed by the federal government.
