Business Health Services (BHS) of Baltimore, Maryland is pleased to announce the hire of Melissa Back Tamburo, Ph.D., LCSW-C, as Director of Clinical Services.

Bringing with her fourteen years of extensive clinical and managerial experience in the Employee Assistance field, Tamburo embodies BHS' dedication to clinical excellence and innovation in the field of workplace health. Tamburo most recently worked as a Program Specialist and Clinician for the Johns Hopkins University WORKlife and Faculty and Staff Assistance Programs, where, in addition to her clinical responsibilities, she developed new client programs and workshops including a Parenting Teens Discussion Group and a "Managing Work and Personal Time" seminar.

Tamburo holds a B.S. in Psychology from Towson State University and an M.S.W. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, where she also served as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Social Work's Employee Assistance specialization. Her research has been focused on examining outcomes with integrated Employee Assistance and Work/Life programs. She is a published author on topics relating to EAP and Social Work in the workplace, and her work has received the Slavin-Patti for Scholarly Excellence.
