Hugh O'Toole Joins MassMutual as Corporate Vice President, Northeast Division
Sales Manager and Nonprofit Market Leader
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Hugh O'Toole has joined the
MassMutual Retirement Services Division's institutional sales team as
corporate vice president, northeast division sales manager and national
nonprofit market leader. O'Toole was most recently employed by Principal
Financial Group.
Prior to joining Principal, O'Toole was a partner in Professional
Pensions, Inc., which was acquired by Principal Financial Group in 1999. As
part of the acquisition, O'Toole was named corporate vice president at
Principal with responsibility for growing the provider's nonprofit business.
He also developed a registered solution for all markets and created new
worksite solutions including an innovative, participant-centric business
model.

sales support efforts for third-party distribution channels in the northeast,

Shefali Desai has been promoted from northeast division sales manager to
vice president of sales operations for MassMutual's Retirement Services
Division, reporting to Bill O'Grady. Desai brings more than 17 years of
retirement services experience to this newly-created role, where she will
oversee all of the financial and administrative functions of MassMutual's
entire third party distribution system, including the company's Career Agency
System and select network of Third Party Administrators.
Sean Milligan has joined MassMutual as managing director, third party
distribution sales in the Midwest region, where he will cover southern
Illinois and Tennessee, and will share coverage of the Chicago area with Chris
Kennedy, a seasoned retirement sales professional who joined MassMutual in
2006. Milligan joins MassMutual from Portfolio Consulting Group, Syracuse,
N.Y., where he served as director of sales and marketing. His broad industry
experience also includes sales roles with Transamerica Retirement Services and
Principal Financial Group. He reports to Evan Gray, division sales manager for

Nelson Bonner has joined MassMutual as managing director, third party
distribution sales for the Pacific Northwest territory, specifically covering
the Oregon and Washington territories. He reports to Tanya Jones, division

from Principal Financial Group, where he spent more than 10 years in the
