NEW YORK: August 23, 2007 – Buck Consultants, an ACS company and one of the world’s leading human resource and benefits consulting firms, today announced that Thomas Chuba has joined Buck Consultants as a Principal in its Pittsburgh office. Chuba will serve in Buck’s Health and Productivity practice.
Chuba joins Buck from Aetna Inc., where he served as Regional Sales Vice President of its Government and Labor Division. His 20 years of health and welfare experience includes extensive expertise with Taft-Hartley trust funds, labor unions, public schools, colleges, and universities. Chuba’s expertise also includes new business development and sales strategy.
Chuba has 14 years of experience in the Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania market, having served with Highmark Inc. as Director of Labor Trusts and Education.
Chuba received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army as an officer for four years of active duty and was a commanding officer in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for five years.
Chuba received a labor certification designation from the George Meany Center National Labor College and a certified health consultant designation from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association at Purdue University. He is also a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters.
