Greensboro, NC/September 25, 2006 - The Board of Directors of The Todd Organization, a nationwide leader in the design, implementation, financing, and administration of nonqualified retirement and executive benefit plans, today announced that Michael G. Curran has joined its Board of Directors.
Mr. Curran is the founder and retired Chief Executive Officer of Executive Benefit Services, Inc. ("EBS"), an executive benefit planning firm established in 1992. EBS exclusively focused on the design, implementation, financing and administration of nonqualified deferred compensation plans.
Through its nationwide work with companies and their professional advisers, EBS established comprehensive systems and procedures for these plans. EBS was purchased by the Principal Financial Group in 2001. Mr. Curran continued to serve as CEO and President until his retirement in January 2005.

Mr. Curran, a resident of Cary, North Carolina, has lived in the state since 1980. Before forming EBS, he served in the financial services industry. Mr. Curran holds several professional designations including CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant). He holds a Masters degree in Financial Services as well as a Masters and Bachelor of Sciences degree in Education from the University of New Hampshire.
Mr. Curran´s involvement in public service and philanthropic projects is extensive. He serves as President of the Curran Foundation, a private family foundation that supports nonprofit organizations and community programs that positively impact the lives of children and young adults. He is also President of the Triangle Aquatic Center, a nonprofit organization which builds and maintains public aquatic facilities. In addition, he serves as President of the Parent Teacher Administration Alliance and serves on the Board of Directors for Cary Academy, an independent college-preparatory school serving students in grades 6-12.
