New York, January 25, 2006

Mercer Human Resource Consulting has been named Benefits Consultant of the Year in the annual Global Pensions Awards for the second consecutive year.

A panel of 20 judges, made up of pension funds and consultants globally, voted Mercer top in its category. Mercer was initially short listed for the award following a survey of over 1,000 pension funds who were asked to nominate a service provider in each of the 20 award categories.

The title was awarded on the strength of Mercer´s actuarial offerings to global companies, including its retirement financial management process, which helps multinationals manage the costs and risks of providing retirement benefits. New initiatives such as the launch of an employee covenant screening service were also highlighted.

Bruce Rigby, Mercer´s Global Retirement Business Leader, said, "We´re delighted to have won this award, which reflects our focus on providing truly global services to our clients."
