New customers signed during the second quarter of 2006 included Covalence Specialty Materials Corporation, previously known as Tyco Plastics & Adhesives; Realogy, a spin-off of the real estate division of Cendant; and one of the world´s largest lodging franchisors. Existing customers including a global oil and natural gas products and services company, and a major retailer of athletic footwear renewed their relationships with Workscape. Defense and aerospace systems leader Raytheon; supermarket and foodservice operators Ahold; a Fortune 200 financial services company; and one of the nation´s largest grocery retailers also expanded their current agreements with Workscape.
Additionally, Workscape has signed a multiyear services arrangement with a global systems integrator to continue providing Workscape's Employee.com Web-based portal and HR self-service application services to an existing customer in the global automotive industry.
Tim Clifford, Workscape´s CEO, commented, "Our second quarter success in renewing and adding vital services to existing accounts as well as our continuing record new client sales momentum is a testimony to the hard work of our growing team, as well as our commitment to exemplary products and services. Workscape´s outsourced benefits and compensation solutions are delivering what market leaders need to effectively reduce costs, retain their best people and set a firm foundation for continued organizational success. We´re honored to be an integral part of their HR infrastructure, as their success is Workscape´s success."
Earlier this month, Workscape announced it has signed a five-year lease on a new facility in Meridian, Idaho, a suburb of Boise, which will house its existing Call Center Operation as well as its expanded Benefits Administration business process outsourcing (BPO) operation. Clifford shared, "Our benefits administration business - along with our award-winning compensation solutions - are considered to be the gold-standards by multinational companies seeking a reliable, trusted provider that can deliver personalized service backed by the best technology. The expansion of our Boise area operation is another example of how Workscape invests in the support and delivery network to ensure our customers´ needs are met and their expectations are exceeded."
Ed Hurley-Wales, Workscape´s Senior Vice President of Human Resources, added, "This is an exciting time to be a member of the expanding Workscape team. Making a difference and being rewarded accordingly ensures both individual and organizational success. Workscape offers that and much more."
