Watson Wyatt Opens Benefits Consulting Research Center in Uruguay

Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a leading international human capital consulting firm, announced it has opened the first dedicated research center of any major benefits consultancy in Latin America.

WASHINGTON, May 2, 2005 – Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a leading international human capital consulting firm, announced it has opened the first dedicated research center of any major benefits consultancy in Latin America. The center, located in Montevideo, Uruguay, will conduct research to support Watson Wyatt’s human capital consulting services for large employers throughout the region and the world.

"While sound human capital practices are universal, local customs and policies vary greatly from region to region and country to country," said Peter Mills, Watson Wyatt regional manager for Latin America and the Caribbean. "Having research on the ground in Latin America will allow Watson Wyatt to help our clients create and implement evidence-based solutions throughout the region."

The center will initially focus on research relating to employee benefits, executive rewards, pension risk and benefits communication.
