St. Louis, MO, March 3, 2005 -- MetLife Retirement & Savings announced today that it has added the Morningstar Learning Station as a new source of online educational content on the participant web site for MetLife’s 401(k) clients. The Morningstar Learning Station, provided by Morningstar Associates, LLC, a registered investment advisor and wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc., is available to participants of MetLife’s MetPremier and MetSelect retirement plan programs. With the addition of the Morningstar Learning Station, MetLife Retirement & Savings now offers participants retirement planning education at every level.

The investment tools and interactive calculators of the Morningstar Learning Station are designed to make it easy for plan participants to focus on the topics most relevant for their retirement savings. These tools help participants understand the implications of compounding, risk and return, and other important concepts. Morningstar’s extensive library of articles covers such diverse topics as the basics of retirement plans, fundamentals of retirement planning, establishing financial goals, setting a personal investment strategy, distribution planning and much more, even including suggestions for dealing with major life events.
