Harvard Business School Publishing AnnouncesHarvard ManageMentor(r) PLUS, Version 5

Two New Topics Focus on Fostering Diversity & Improving BusinessProcesses
BOSTON - December 4, 2006 - Harvard Business School Publishing, the
premier source for management practices, programs and content, today
announced Harvard ManageMentor(r) PLUS version 5.  Reflecting current
business trends and incorporating customer feedback, Harvard
ManageMentor PLUS version 5 delivers on-the-job tools, best practices,
practical tips and more to make an immediate and positive impact in
customer organizations. The new version includes two new topics
specifically focused on managing diversity and driving business results.

The Fostering Diversity module, which helps leaders cultivate and
leverage diversity in the workplace, was developed to help managers
recognize the diverse backgrounds, cultures, skills and characteristics
of team members and to extract value from those differences. By giving
managers strategies to deal with differences effectively, they are
better equipped to mitigate risks associated with diversity-related
conflicts.

"Today's workforce is fundamentally diverse in background, culture, age
and skill," commented Peter McAteer, managing director and vice
president of Corporate Learning, Harvard Business School Publishing.
"Without the necessary tools to identify and leverage these differences,
managers not only miss valuable opportunities to enhance business
performance but also may confront greater challenges in resolving
conflicts within the workforce.  Harvard ManageMentor PLUS gathers the
concepts, advice and tools managers need to foster creative
collaboration."

The second new module, Improving Business Processes, helps managers
develop and deploy common process management tools and methods to
increase efficiency of work and improve business results. Managers will
gain the skills to identify which processes to change, how to change
them and how to ensure those changes yield the best outcomes.

For more than ten years, Harvard ManageMentor has delivered on-the-job
tools and valuable information on important management topics to
millions of managers worldwide across numerous industries. Developed by
renowned experts and practitioners, each of the 43 topics provides
practical advice, tips, and tools to address the key challenges managers
and project leaders face every day -in a feature-rich format, with audio
and interactive elements that create an immediate boost to business
performance.

The new Harvard ManageMentor PLUS modules were developed with prominent
authors, practitioners, and business leaders including Martha R. A.
Fields, award-winning consultant and author on diversity, globalization,
and work/life integration; and Mark McDonald, Ph.D., a former Accenture
partner who directed the firm's Center for Process Excellence. These
experts serve as mentors through Harvard ManageMentor PLUS, advising
users on effective management tactics.

Offering great flexibility for training managers, Harvard ManageMentor
PLUS integrates with other corporate learning offerings from Harvard
Business School Publishing to provide a well-rounded management training
solution. It may be used in conjunction with classroom training, as part
of a blended offering, or as a pre-course topic warm-up or post-course
refresher. It is available in multiple languages and select
industry-specific versions and can be customized or co-branded to best
suit the needs of the organization.
