Convergys Opens New Center in Austin, Texas

CINCINNATI & AUSTIN, Texas -- June 14, 2005 -- Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), a global leader in providing customer care, human resource, and billing services, announced today the opening of a new human resources service center in Austin, Texas, to serve the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).

The new Convergys facility measures nearly 27,000 square feet and houses 167 production stations. More than 80 professionals are currently servicing HHSC employees from the Austin center.

The new state-of-the-art facility is a result of a five-year contract awarded to Convergys in October 2004, to provide comprehensive human resources and payroll services for the HHSC's 46,000 employees.

Contract implementation is going well and the Convergys and HHSC implementation teams have achieved four major milestones so far:

--  System Design Phase - also known as blueprinting – Completed in December 2004

--  AccessHR Website - Went live in January 2005

--  AccessHRServiceCenter handling employee benefits and unemployment insurance - Went live in April 2005

--  Recruiting, Staffing, and Learning administration - Went live in May 2005
