Apke has been with BDA for 17 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President. In this role, she was supervised the firm’s Employee Assistance Programs, Gambling Help-Lines, compulsive gambling professional training programs, and was responsible for clinical oversight and supervision. She has also worked extensively with private and public employers developing health benefits systems, management information reporting and outcome analysis.

Apke has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from National Louis University, Evanston, Illinois and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois, Urbana. Her clinical expertise includes crisis intervention and short-term, goal-directed therapy. She is a NAADAC Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a Certified Employee Assistance Program Professional (CEAP), an International Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor (ICCGC), a Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor (CCGC), and a Certified Problem and Compulsive Gambling Counselor (PCGC) with extensive training in the diagnosis, referral and treatment of addictive illness, including those of alcohol/drugs and problem and compulsive gambling.
