LAUREL, NJ. – May 22, 2008 – Corporate Synergies (CSG), a full-service independent benefits consultant and brokerage firm, recently hosted a two-city thought-leadership event for Human Resource and C-level executives. Managers from mid-level companies representing over $1.2 billion dollars in premiums descended upon suburban Philadelphia and New York City to learn how to weather rising healthcare costs and a potential recession.
Corporate Synergies CEO Eric Raymond, CLU, led off the standing-room only, Caucus with a passionate presentation on healthcare in the context of a recession. Along with hat throwing and a mock baptism of an HR manager, Mr. Raymond taught his audience how to use economic stresses to the HR department’s advantage. He also warned them of the dangers of not using a disease management program to anticipate future claims caused by yet-undiscovered employee illnesses.

One of the hottest break out sessions of the day was a peer-to-peer think tank session. Attendees learned that new ideas are not created in a vacuum.
